What does a programmer do?

Programmers are responsible for writing the code that makes up computer software. They are tasked with defining the workflow of a program, writing the code, testing the program functionality, and creating documentation for the program.

What do I need to get a programmer job?

The majority of professionals in these fields have at least a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or software engineering.   

HCC’s 2-Year AA degree Computer Science provides the first two years of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
