What does a certified medical assistant do?

Certified medical assistants perform a great variety of duties in medical offices, such as filing insurance claims, working one-on-one with patients while drawing blood or taking a vital signs and medical history, collecting and preparing lab specimens, sterilizing medical equipment, cleaning both waiting room and examination rooms, and ordering supplies and equipment for the medical office. 

What do I need to get a certified medical assistant job?

This program will enable students to sit for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification exam of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
