What does a buyer/purchasing agent do?

A purchasing agent obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers, verifies receipt of items, resolves shipments in error with suppliers, and authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation.

What do I need to get a buyer/purchasing agent job?

Cecil College has an articulation agreement with the University of Delaware. Students satisfactorily completing the Transportation and Logistics option degrees at Cecil College are guaranteed admission to the University of Delaware’s Supply Chain Management program.   This will open the door to careers in logistics management, supply management, transportation management, operations management, and many other logistics related specialties.
