Welders fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools, and produce metal products according to customer or employer specifications.

What do I need to get a construction welder job?

Cecil College’s welding certification program covers four separate modules totaling 256 hours of training. At the completion of all four classes, students will be eligible to take the certification exam.

Students that successfully complete the HCC course should be able to obtain entry-level employment in the construction/ metal building/fabrication trades. Total training time is 30 hrs..
